The A Team is an all-star cast of versatile musicians that specializes in mixing genres. Together we bring a high level of musical authenticity to every show that resonates well with each member of our audience.
The A Team works closely with event promoters and organizations to present their stellar productions throughout the holidays, carnival season and year-round.
The beautiful and talented Kerlene Joseph, Ms. Kerlz leads our musical set alongside Nicholas Prescott aka D Soca Trainer and Eddie Charles aka the veteran in the business. The trio take charge of the stage with their dynamic repertoire inclusive of chutney soca, dancehall, R&B and old school hits that satisfy all audiences.
The A Team was also the official backing band for the International Soca Monarch Competition since 2015 with a consecutive three year run.

On this stage artists from all over the world compete for the grand prize of one million dollars, bragging rights and the title of International Soca Monarch. This is the most anticipated event of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Season.
The Versatility of the A TEAM Band has allowed our skilled musicians to accompany artists of any genre. We take pride in our ability to heighten the performances of artists such as Olatunji Yearwood, Lyrical, Farmer Nappy, Salty, Teddyson John, Patrice Roberts, Chucky, Isacha, Jah Melody, Prophet Benjamin, Pternsky, Mr. King, Hyper Sounds, Voice, Preedy, Nessa Preppy, Nadia Batson, Kerwin Du Bois, Terri Lyons, Swappi, Nailah Blackman and many others. We are also proud to have shared the stage with veterans such as Lord Nelson, David Rudder, Beckett, Baron, Stalin, Bally, Chalkdust, Singing Sandra, Arturo Tappin just to name a few.
The 2019 Corporate Christmas season was also a buzz for the A TEAM Band as we kicked off the corporate season with Central Bank’s LSA Christmas Staff lime and continued straight into the 2020 Carnival season with SOS on January 1st 2020.
Carnival 2020 came next and our frontline performers D Soca Trainer & Ms Kerlz blazed the trail with their 2020 Soca releases SITUATIONAL & INDEPENDENT GIRL respectively. Eddie Charles also made a statement with his 2020 release titled “AH TELL SHE”. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic hit and dampened the hopes for many in the entertainment sector but as the warriors we are, we rose to the occasion bringing joy to many via virtual concerts.
Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2021, our leading lady Ms. Kerlz once again rose to the occasion with her monster hit “Nothing to do with love” which was well received. This definitely great timing for the success of her song as the A Team emerged as the most demanded band for the season performing at almost every virtual event.
In 2022 we continued to make our presence felt while being labelled the band of the season for the semblance carnival 2022. After which the A Team band embarked on a tour with Patrice Roberts, performing at events such as SXW in Texas, St. Thomas Carnival, Best of the Best Miami, Belize Music and Food Festival, just to name a few.
